"The children can now see the difference between their past existence on the street and their present existence at Timkatec. To be sheltered from bad situations is a good opportunity. Sleeping in a room on a real bed is a luxury, eating 3 times a day is not a given to everyone in Haiti." Father Joseph Simon of Timkatec

I have spoken to many friends, family and colleagues who have been deeply touched by the Timkatec story. To translate those feelings into action, we needed a financially secure and efficient method to raise funds and safely transfer them to Father Simon in Haiti.

Catholic Relief Services
Partners in Child Survival

Catholic Relief Services has made a strong commitment to assist the Friends of Timkatec. CRS, the official relief and development agency of the Catholic Church, has been helping the world's poorest, like the children of Timkatec, for over 60 years. They have an extensive and efficient program throughout Haiti and as their partners, that enables us to l collect on-line, IRS Tax Deductible donations. They also assist with on-site support to Timkatec through their excellent Haitian operation. We are most grateful for their support.

You may donate to Timkatec, online by credit card or by check. CRS has created a special Timkatec Contribution Page for this project to help you make your donation. We would also appreciate if you would copy us indicating the amount so that we may monitor our success. By pressing the DONATE button below, you will be able to donate and become a "Friend of Timkatec in America."

Thank you for deciding to donate to Timkatec and CRS’ Partners in Child Survival.

Many Timkatec children need medical treatment on arrival

"Survival. Quite simply, it's a matter of life and death." Ken Hackett, President CRS.

These words truly convey the awfulness facing a homeless child as young as 5 years old, abandoned and alone on the streets of the poorest city (Port au Prince) in the Americas. For us, it is unimaginable yet it happens every day. Father Simon goes onto those streets and rescues as many children as he can.

At Timkatec 2, our Training School built with your donations and we are now educating 200 youngsters, These formerly homeless children are able to learn a trade to become contributors to their society instead of the life of poverty and hopelessness they had before Timkatec.

"Timkatec receives many admission requests, however they do not have room to accept them all. It is difficult to refuse a child who comes at night, in the rain, asking for a small place to sleep." Father Joseph Simon of Timkatec
